What I Do

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?

At New Life Coach INC, superior coaching is a vital component of our programs’ success. We invest significant time and care in assembling the best team of coaches. To volunteer, you should be a warm, bright, and compassionate individual who is also a good listener, a creative thinker, and demonstrates competency in coaching. While you do not need to adhere to a specific religious faith or belief to volunteer, having knowledge of spirituality may be beneficial.

How the 6-Week Program Works

Once approved as a volunteer coach and added to our network, you will be matched with clients based on your geographic area and coaching niche or interests whenever possible. You may coach up to 3 clients at a time, depending on your availability and desire.

Upon receiving your client’s contact information, you are expected to reach out, submit a signed coaching agreement, and complete your first session within one week of accepting the assignment. Each week, you will meet with your client, typically by telephone, for approximately one hour. Your client will receive a personal goal assessment package to work on with your support. This structured tool helps the client narrow down their needs to one or two specific goals to focus on during the program.

In each session, you will support, encourage, and coach your assigned client in fulfilling their goals. You will utilize the skills you learned in training, your personal experience, the tools outlined in your Volunteer Coach Handbook, and appropriate homework assignments. Weekly progress reports should be submitted to your assigned mentor coach.

At the end of each week, you will update your mentor coach via email to discuss your sessions. This is an opportunity to further develop your coaching style and seek support on any challenging client issues. Your mentor coach will be an experienced and highly competent coach, serving as a valuable resource for both NLCI business and your personal coaching needs. We believe strongly in continuing education and development, which is why we provide this mentoring service as a benefit to our dedicated volunteer coaches.

At the conclusion of the 6-week program, your client will have the opportunity to provide priceless feedback about our services and your performance as a coach through an online survey. Your mentor coach will share some of this feedback with you to help you continue improving your coaching mastery. You may also offer additional assistance to your client through your private coaching practice, providing a valuable avenue to grow your business.
